Educating our community about recovery

We believe that addiction is a chronic disease.  It's essential individuals who have a substance use disorder seek out treatment and support to obtain long-term recovery.  We believe that people can and do recover and go on to live productive lives.
We believe that educating our community is key to restoring dignity and supporting individuals living with a substance use disorder so that they can become productive in their communities.
We have experts in the field that would love to come to speak to your organization or community to explain how the disease works and ways to treat it.

We are proud to be a founding partner of the Springfield Recovery Community Center where we have Certified Peer Specialists available to provide recovery support.  We also offer free Narcan training every month and offer several recovery support groups and pro-social activities.
If you or someone you know is looking for long-term recovery or more information on substance use disorders, we'd love to help you find what you need.

I am looking for information on substance use and the continuing addiction crisis.

We recommend the following sources:

SAMHSA - Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration

Facing Addiction In America

Faces and Voices of Recovery

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)

Better Life in Recovery has also produced a family-focused documentary to help parents understand substance use disorders and recovery.
